As I have mentioned in a couple of previous posts, this past week was filled with solo performing opportunities, including a full recital on Monday, February 11, and then a euphonium solo with the University of Mississippi Wind Ensemble earlier this evening. Given the frenetic pace of final preparations and performing that have characterized the past few days, I knew that writing an “actual article” for the blog probably wouldn’t happen this week, and thus I decided several weeks ago that today’s post would consist of video recordings of this week’s performances.

These videos are all live, unedited performance recordings, with the occasional minor blemishes that always occur in live performance. While one always wishes for fewer such imperfections, on the whole I was very pleased with these performances, and I hope you will be, as well. If you are interested in reading some brief program notes for these pieces, please see last week’s post.

I hope you will not be too annoyed by the “University of Mississippi” introductory and concluding screens on each of these videos. I “bookend” all of my videos with these because I use these recordings for publicity and recruiting purposes for the university, the music department, and the low brass studio.
